About Us

Beth Sholom, a Conservative-affiliated egalitarian congregation. We offer numerous educational and worship opportunities, social and cultural activities and community-oriented events for members of all ages. We encourage our congregants to take advantage of the many avenues of participation we offer.

Beth Sholom’s educational offerings include Beth Sholom Early Childhood Center for 2- to 4-year-olds, religious education for children ages 5 through high school and adult education classes.

Shabbat services are held each Friday evening and Saturday morning, and Tot Shabbat and religious school-led Friday evening services are held monthly. Weekday minyans are held on the first Sunday of each month and every Thursday morning.

Machar, Bonim, Kadima and USY youth groups plan monthly cultural and social events for youth and teens, and the adult programming committee organizes monthly social and cultural activities.

Beth Sholom members are committed to Tikkun Olom, or repairing the world. Throughout the year, congregants engage in service activities that help those in need in the local Frederick community and beyond.

We welcome all to learn, worship, celebrate and volunteer! We look forward to getting to know you.
