Contribute to Beth Sholom

How Can I Contribute?

There are many opportunities for members to contribute to Beth Sholom. Remember a loved one or honor a special event with a contribution to one of our many funds. Volunteer to help with bingo once a month, serve on a committee or help plan a successful event. Whatever you choose, we welcome your investment in Beth Sholom's future.

Tree of Life

You can recognize the accomplishments of loved ones and honor life cycle events with a contribution to a new Tree of Life. Our original tree is full; the generosity of individuals or groups of families can make a second tree a reality. Call the Beth Sholom office at 301-663-3437 to discuss how you can support this worthwhile project.

Bingo

Bingo, the congregation's main fund-raiser, is offered each Sunday and Monday evening at the Community Center. Teams, led by a captain and staffed by volunteer members, are assigned to help run one game a month. Bingo is a great opportunity for congregants to give back to the synagogue. To volunteer, call the Beth Sholom office at 301-663-3437.

Doors open at 5 p.m. The early bird games begin at 7 p.m., and the games last until approximately 9:45 p.m. Bingo workers volunteer for one of two shifts: 5-7:30 p.m. or 7:30-10 p.m. Volunteers can either directly help with the bingo games or assist the Sisterhood with food sales in the kitchen.

Bingo Anyone?
Looking for something to do Sunday or Monday evenings? A once-a-month commitment to bingo is one way to give back to the congregation. We value our volunteers whether you're helping in the kitchen with food sales or selling bingo games, acting as the caller or running the register. We love our bingo players and they refer to us as "the friendliest game in town!" Join in the fun and see what everyone is talking about.
