Joanna Sieger's relationship with Beth Sholom’s Early Childhood Center began 15 years ago when her oldest daughter was enrolled as a two-year-old. She worked as an aide in the three-year-old class beginning in 2011 and then became the teacher for the two-year-olds. In summer 2017, she became the director of the ECC. She loves being part of this wonderful school!
Joanna has also worked for Frederick County Public schools as a substitute teacher and special education instructional assistant. Through professional development, she has gained considerable knowledge about child development. And she has found that by simply observing, there is much to be learned about why children do what they do and what is needed to help students achieve. One of her favorite things to do is to just watch—according to Joanna, there is nothing quite like experiencing the world through the eyes of a child.
