Tisha B'av

Traditionally the saddest day of the Jewish year, Tisha B'Av is the day both temples were destroyed in Jerusalem, the Jews were expelled from Spain in 1492 and World War I began, among other tragic events. The date is commemorated with a 25-hour fast, which this year ends the evening of August 11th.

Join us Aug. 10 at 9 p.m. for a candle-lit ceremony with ancient and contemporary prayers and readings, learning and discussion opportunities and recitations from the Book of Lamentations, sung with a unique nusah, a special melody.
